Program Manager Energy Efficiency for Small Business (EESBP)
Andrew is a Chemical Engineer, (BEng (Chem) USyd) with a great interest in sustainability. Having spent 8½ years gaining broad experience within the mining industry, he has extensive liaison with mining and water/waste-water operations and consulting firms dealing with field testing and data analysis, sales and marketing, equipment design, project management and equipment construction, installation, process and general commissioning, training, troubleshooting and technical backup. He has worked as an engineer in Chile, China, Fiji, Indonesia and Tasmania.
In a moment of clarity Andrew decided to undertake a 2 year sabbatical exploring sustainable living, returning to Canberra after a 15 year absence. 2 years, turned to 10 and along the way he graduated with a Masters in Financial Management (MFinMgmt (ANU)), explored the financial boundaries of residential energy savings technologies and engineered a greywater purification machine.
Andrew manages the NSW Governments Energy Efficiency for Small Business Program, conducts commercial and residential audits and conducts training for SustainAble Advice Team. As well as being an accredited Home Sustainability Assessor, Andrew is also AIRAH accredited (Australian Institute of Refrigeration Air-conditioning and Heating) to level 2 and has a high level of efficiency in ‘DesignBuilder’ – virtual building simulation.
