Operations Manager and Residential Audit Programs Manager
As Operations Manager, Penny is responsible for the management of the day-to-day administration of the office and the smooth operation of our business for over 5 years. Penny is the liaison point between SustainAbility Advice Team and Government organisations.
Penny manages the daily operation of the Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT), Water and Energy Saving in the Territory (WEST) and other residential auditing projects.
Prior to working for SustainAbility Advice Team Penny worked at Orana School for Rudolf Steiner education, managing their ‘Community Hours’ program and working with the students on various biodynamic, and sustainable living projects. She also worked on projects with the student’s to display their views of the schools water-harvesting project.
As a TAFE instructor in Organic Farming, Penny has a long-standing commitment to environmental and sustainable practices in everyday life. Penny was an active member of the NSW Rural Fire Service for over 15 years, which provided a good balance for the long-term strategies of sustainable management within our own unique environment.
She is also a qualified Rural Fire Fighter trainer, ‘FireWise Facilitator’ and works within Incident management Teams as part of the Logistics team.
Penny is a qualified Workplace Assessor and Trainer and holds a Certificate IV in Frontline Management and a Diploma of Business Management. She has been involved in the development and delivery as a trainer for the Home Sustainability Assessor course and other in-house training programs.
