The Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) is a division of SustainAbility, contracted by the ACT Government to run the ACT Energy Wise audit, rebate and consultation program.
Home Energy Advice Team
The Home Energy Advice Team, known as HEAT, is a team of energy efficiency professionals who have been working in the field for over 12 years. The ACT Government funds HEAT.
We provide two separate services for homes in the ACT:
- comprehensive home energy audit program, and
- free advisory service.
Comprehensive Energy Audit
For $30, our experienced auditors will visit your home, assess the features of your house that affect your energy use and identify and discuss with you where savings can be made.You will receive a written report suggesting practical improvements that can be made to improve the energy efficiency of your home.
Homeowners who spend $2,000 or more on energy efficiency improvements, identified during the audit, will be eligible for a $500 rebate from the ACT Government, plus a refund of the $30 audit fee.
Our FREE Advisory Service
For independent and professional advice on building a solar passive home or renovating and improving the energy efficiency of your home, HEAT offer a FREE energy advisory service..Bring your plans, questions, ideas and even your architect to meet our technical advisors and discuss solutions tailored to your needs.
We offer face-to-face, phone and e-mail consultations.
This service is available to ALL residential houses in the ACT and region.
